Looks pretty good Daytona. :2thumbs: If I had one It would be totally blacked out in no time.
Tints, black rims, black calipers, smoked lights, no bling, no show, all go, for old times sake.

Thanks for sharing. I'm sure I'd be right in saying that car as it stands would be a 1 of 1 with those rims.

...my "old times" are the late 60s, I bet your "old times" are a few decades later than mine :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

...back in my day, the cars were always waxed for cruise night (every night here) and you had to have Cragar S/S wheels to look the part on the cruise strip...they certainly were the "hot ticket" to have...I'm just trying to be 18 one more time

:roflsmiley: I meant old times like dog dish hub caps, on this board, old times should be the same for everyone. E-Body times.  ;) Good one you, why not!

...I agree, dog dish would be KOOL, and "old school"...I prefer them over Rally wheels any time....I went thru a couple of years looking to do a set for a Prowler and never could make it happen....problem was the 20 inch wheel is too heavy in a steel wheel(what they told me)....the new Challenger is going to create an aftermarket industry unlike anything we have seen for a long time...

...also, the main reason "dog dish" wheels were put on muscle cars, it was the cheapest thing to do, because they were normally thrown away, sold cheap, stored in the garage or what ever.....they usually only lasted on the car a day or two, just long enough to get a set of Cragars or Torque thrust wheels installed...they were basically only on the car so it would roll until they were replaced...I really don't even remember ever seeing them on the street back in 69-71...rare even then

Even compared to the Vipers aftermarket following? I know the Viper has a huge following (as doe the SRT/10 trucks) though no where like all the Viper cars. Really, huh, cool, thanks, I didn't know that. I love them as well. So plain and simple yet so race car like, not sure what it is about them. Definitely a wheel you love or hate. Again, car is hot, can't beat black. Will you be looking at trading up if and when the 6.4L versions come out, maybe a rag top?

....Vipers have a huge aftermarket following, but I think the Challenger will be bigger....cars are cheaper, more of them, more body/stripe mods...I have a Ram SRT10....use mine to haul garden stuff in every spring...I use it as a truck, although a very fast truck

I rarely get rid of a car, I will probably keep this one.... also have an 09 red SRT 6spd ordered and will get a conv when they are available, if a 6.4 comes along, I'll add one of those too...have a big garage and it still has a few empty spaces :roflsmiley:

The Challenger might have a larger fan base than the Viper, and there will surely be more on the road [than the Viper,] but the Viper will still hold the cards where it matters - on the track.  Viper will still remain the "rare" car, as in a few years, you'll see Challengers just as much as you see Mustangs (at least I hope.)

And yes, a NEW Challenger is cheaper than a NEW Viper, but used Vipers are actually running at the same price as the Challenger.  I've been tracking over 30 Viper Ebay auctions in just the past month.  And with yet another credit card paid off as of Friday, I'm one step closer to having a Viper of my very own!

How many times can you say "Viper" in one post?    :faint:
