Scat Pac Bees question
« on: July 07, 2008 - 11:22:01 AM »
Hi all, just a quick question on the “Scat Pac”. Did all the Mopar muscle cars of 1970get the little “Bee” sticker on the rear window (R/T’s T/A’s etc). I was looking at the Phoenix graphics web site and they were suggesting that they did. Any clarification on this because I would like to put some of those stickers on my 1970 R/T Challenger.
(See the section under Dodge/Challenger/AMF96
Thanks

there were 5 cars in the Scat pack - Challenger , Charger , Coronet R/T , Dart , Super Bee , any of these cars with performance Packages would have  the Bee

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t

Yay !! I had better get a couple of those decals then. So what exactly was the “Scat Pac” all about. Maybe when other cars saw a 1970 Dodge Muscle car they would all Scatter! ??   :22yikes:

It was a marketing ploy, information on the 1970 Scat Pack cars here;

http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1970DealershipDataBook-07.shtml

This was printed before the T/As came out, so they are not shown.

so where did these stickers go?  I know on the rear quarter windows, but did they go on the lower left side of the glass or the lower right?  Pics would be awesome.....

There was a right and a left, the Bees are supposed to face forward. They are applied to the inside of the glass.

Here is one on the passenger side of a T/A;

The original carrier papers for the stickers were angled, this served as a template for positioning them. It is common to find the backing paper and face paper under the carpets of cars in original condition;

Not that I know of. The stickers were a Dodge thing.
