Chally looking good.... On the T/Q be sure the choke coil & pull-off are correct, it's easy to put all that together wrong or not have work correctly due to adjustments. Be sure to re-tighten the 10 screws after a heat cycle, don't forget the 2 in the primary throat.

You know your stuff Bullitt, I ran into both these things! the choke flaps wouldn't close -forgot to tighten screws in promary slot....and choke coil from 2 bbl doesn't fit with 4 bbl, same with kickdown linkages....guess you need to source these from a factory 4bbl intake?

What does your choke coil well look like..... '73 units readily avail.

Got lucky - happened by a freinds mechanic who had an old NewYorker. Robbed it of it's 4bbl kickdown, springs and choke coil - all in nice shape! Got lucky this time. Thanks for the links - I didn't know if the choke would work, but it's the same as the pic in your second link.

Things are ready to go together and  - OF COURSE - the first thing I run inot is seat covers (PUI from Year One) that are msiing several pull-tabs. These are the pulls that you insert the metal rods that get hog-ringed into the foam bucks. PUI obviosuly forgot some of them on this set...lets how long it takes to get 'em replaced.

Anyways, it was getting late - so I'll wait for the new covers to come and get onto some other stuff...

Good eye!! I had a heck of an internal struggle over painting the rad support and brackets car coloured, or correctly - black. The "show" cars always have the rad support painted car color and it looks so good, nice and clean...but as you can see I went with the black. I still have that support, plus the other two items that bolt to that to do.

Here's the rad support blacked out, plus some of the engine bay details soft-installed. As well, I've got a few small pieces done in the engine bay and dash...

A few more things tackled this weekend! I was repairing the cracks in the dash - in order to put the dash cap on - but as I was repairing I thought it looked pretty good....so I think I'll attemp a full repair on the original to see how it looks. If it looks good, great - if not, I have the cap.

I also painted the booster (again) using Eastwoods Cadmium-plating paint system (Gold, Red, Green Cadmium paints, plus clear). YOU TELL ME if you think it looks good enough...I'll reserve comment until I hear from some of you!

And some miscellaneous bits went together or are process now....

Wiring is going back in. Labelling everthing certainly helps!! I'm still not sure about the shiny electrical tape. I might prefer a cloth "hockey" tape....Comments? As well, I'd like it to look as straight and neat as possible, while being stock....any ideas?

The carpet is too wide and doesn't appear long enough. I can see trimming the sides...but should I have to add to the end?!

I really like trying to re-use everything. Refurbishing the rubber plugs for the floor and trunk isn't oo hard.

And a trunk load of bits and pieces....

Thanks for looking!!
