Jet sizes
« on: July 09, 2008 - 08:36:31 PM »
What is the inside hole dim. for the "jet" in the metering block on the outside carbs of a stock 440-6?  I think someone may have drilled out mine but I don't know what they are supposed to be.  I'm considering getting a new metering plate with replacable jets for the outside two. What size jets do you guys recommend for the outers?  Also, what is a good jet size for the center carb? I'm crusing - no racing, just Granny driving.
Thanks

Thanks Chryco.  Let me know if you find info on the hole dim. for the outers so I can order the set of jets.  :worshippy

I would contact ProMax , they make the conversion kit to put jets in the outboard carbs so they should know what size works

:iagree: I put the Promax jet plates in my outboards. I tuned it on the dyno and ended up with 65s in the center carb. and 85s in the outer carbs. That gave me a 13.0 AFR all the way across the board.
