I just realized I wont really miss the show
« on: July 10, 2008 - 07:38:57 PM »
With my motel on I-80, I have gotten to see lots of mopars one by one on the way down to the show. Some on trailers and some being driven. I BBQ'd Ribeyes and thick cut porkchops on the back of my truck today for lunch while at work, and enjoyed the show :clapping:

Nope, no pictures...no camera, but you will get to see them anyways in a few hrs.

Wish I didnt have to work till midnight tonight

Well, I am home now. Worked on my car a bit. I drove it 40 miles testing everything. I had just installed the 323 gears when Chryco came over.

Friday night I am putting a 391 set up in there and going to a local cruise saturday, So I thought I would try to spin the tires with my 323's to see how it would act. I rev'ed up to 3k and dumped the clutch, heard all 3 carbs kick in and left a nice dual line for close to 150 ft before I got tired of the steering lft and rt.  T/A radials seem to be rather easy to spin. When I do the 391's I think I will get some comp street tires to play with and make the car hook better. Might as well see what the car has to offer as far as power. This isn't a street drag car by no means, but I think a High 12 is do-able if I get things in order. I am working on getting out another one of my 499's and maybe installing it, but also am considering running a 472 hemi with an 871 I have laying around. Just to be different.  Seems I like to play with the cars more then show them off.

Maybe next saturday. After I do the gear change and install the new 3/8 lines I bought from inline tube. I will run it as stock, no sticky tires, or unhooking the sway bar, or taking the breather off. I just want to see what it might do for a mph that will give me some type of e/t guess for later. Only an 1/8 mile track tho
