I agree 100% Moparal. I am putting this together for my brother in law. We have locked horns a couple of times on this venture so far. After all the time I have put into this and $ he has, I dont understand his reasoning sometimes. He wants to blow big bucks on Dress up items and tells me he wants to put the OLD oil pump back in? I suggested sending out the rotating assy and have it checked for balance , new rod ,Main and head bolts, new valve springs . GET THIS. He does not want to spend the cash on this stuff but buys a high dollar tach that goes to 10,000 RPM.KEY word here [high]. I should have it all wired and ready to run today. The headers have not shown up yet ,So mon or tue is Fire-up day.
I should be picking up the 67 barracuda this week and getting it in the garage. The 440 is going to be put together RIGHT..

I ran a 440 with a similar flexplate for years with a 3500 vert in a Challenger body. It was a low 12.20 car that made about 430hp~ at the flywheel. For sure you never want to let the bolts loosen up because it'll rattle around and take the plate right out. I used locktite AND the star type locking washers.
Once we had Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope & Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama, No Hope and No Cash!
