I hope the prices for the plans come down to where all can afford one. I already have way to many phone bills to think about one of those.

I got an LG Dare and switched from ATT to Verizon this week and love it. So far the only advantage I have found to have an iphone over the LG is the screen size. I have the touch screen with gps, nav, web, weather, traffic, txt pic and video messaging, 3.2 mega pixel camera. I also heard that even though the new iphone is a lot cheaper than the original that because of the special plan you have to sign up for (which costs you an additional $10 a month) you end up paying the same as the original iphone. Also my LG was a fraction of the price (list is $250).

yeah and they said on the news that these weren't like the first ones where there was limited supply, so why would you wait all night?  Prices always drop after awhile too.

So went in line this morning to get the phone. But they make you switch your plan which sucks compared to what I have right now. I really wanted it but making me pay way too much for a plan is unacceptable for me. iphone is out.

It's a 2 year commitment isn't it?  :clueless:  It makes me wonder if they make you commit for 2 years knowing that they may be a competitor with something similar in the future...  :dunno:

I had a 3G Mobile for like 1 week, too many buttons, too much BS and the Internet thing was a joke lol.....sure, you could use the Internet but it was slow as hell, so small you could hardly make out the banner and making one post took the best part of 10 minutes, this, from a posting geek like me. On top of that, getting the bill for my 30 minutes of use (which probably equalled 3 or 4 page views) was real bad. I threw it in the cupboard and got my old non 3G phone, it's makes phone calls, pxts/txts and that's it - MUCH BETTER. :grinyes:
