    Elelbrock RPM and Carb

    If I put an Rpm air gap intake on my 340, will I have to go to a larger carb? I now run a 600 edelbrock. Why is it beneficial to change the rpm from idle to 5500 on stock intake up to 1500 to 6500 on the rpm intake? Won't it be slow off the line?  :clueless:

    yes it can reduce response in the lower powerband which is why the cam , head carb , exhaust combo needs to match rpm for best performance
    I would use a bigger & better carb on a 340 anyway but there is no reason you cannot use the 600 , it will work

    I am using a 600 cfm on my RPM (intake and heads) 360 and it works fine    :2cents:
