71 Chally convertible dimmer switch

If I turn the switch all the way left (counter clockwise) until it clicks, nothing happens.  Is that correct?  The dimmer works fine with the dash panel lights however.

I have a convertible.  the lights by the rear seat come on when I open the door,  but not sure if the dimmer switch will turn on both of these

They do on my '70 (work with the dimmer switch) -- so does the map light under the dash.... (now that I got it fixed)

You may have a ground issue, the interior lights have constant pos. & are switched on with ground. Check that the metal panel the switch mounts to is grounded.

Had to clean up the switch and ground.  Now it works, Thanks!!
