I don't think you have to apologize for it being a Corvette - that's way cool.  :wow:

   Mike

Older - mid-50's.  One of the early early Vettes.  I'd guess a '55.

Damn.  I've always wanted a first gen 'vette.  Looks like it may be a '54.  Wonder if it still has the six cylinder in it.

Lucky dog!!!   :faint:

Always neat to see barn finds of any type are out there. Last weekend I saw a Barn I have driven by many times and figured just old cow pies were in it. Wrong, the doors were open and it's filled with cars. The old guy out front didn't look real friendly though.

Nope,  :grinno:  The first ones were 53s.

That's very cool!  It just goes to shoe that there are still some finds out there.  There just fewer and farther between!

Now if somebody could lead me to a 1971 Hemi vert.......I just might  :faint:  :money:  :money:  :money:

I thought a few would get a kick out of this. I was told a54 w 6cyl. Was supposedly( the ENGINE) rebuilt in 1969 and the heed was never even bolted back on. The guy was80 years old and just  lost his wife this winter - she fell down the front stairs of the farm house! They stopped at the chev dealer just cause they thought it be a cool shot. There were other pics but only had time to scan one. -car has already been resold..........

...53 Vettes were all white...6 cyl/AT...approx 300 made
...54 Vettes had a few colors, red being one....they were also a 6 cyl...approx 3,000 made
...55 had a large gold V in the Chevrolet script on the front fender....they were a V8...approx 1100 made

...my guess from what I can see, it's a 54, the most common of the 3 years.....

....I'm in love with barn find Vettes....love it
