« on: March 27, 2004 - 08:56:49 PM »
Well I just got back from the Good Guys get together with over 2500 classic, muscle and street machines. Saw a lot of mopars, a good turnout for them. My digital camra is giving me carp so I can't upload any pics  >:( I saw a HEMI Challenger RT, 69 Coronet RT HEMI 4 speed!!! 67 HEMI GTX, 70 Challenger 440-6 convertible. HEMI Superbird and much more. Did anyone else go?

Nope.  Wish I could have...I've never seen a superbird in person, let alone a hemi version!  Sounds like a nice mopar showing!

Rev,
That's amazing!  You've never actually seen a Superbird?
I thought every Mopar person has seen one by now.
Maybe I'm just blessed by living where I do (Northern Virginia). I've seen so many of them I don't pay a great deal of attention to them, like I did at first. We have a few show up to small local (Virginia or Maryland) Mopar shows. There are a fair number of them at Carlisle and the Mopar Nationals. Get your camera ready (for Carlisle)!!
There's one that comes to the local cruise-in once in awhile, also. It's really neat because it is the only one known to have been fitted with handicap controls. They are still on the car. I can't remember if Chrysler installed them, or the dealership, or what.

This is a very good area for cars. I don't think there's many cars (different models) I haven't seen in this area.

Hey NZ

Don't worry about not seeing those cars in person
I'd say your car is about the top of the food chain
in the style and horsepower dept.

On the other hand, those Superbirds and Daytonas
are cool  8)

Cheers Bud  ;) There are shows that have them but I don't really go to them as they are usually about 10 hour drives and I'd rather spend that money (Petrol/Acommodtation) on my resto, until it's done I guess I'll just have to wait.  :)

Thanks!  :D Yupe, it is a great place to live and with just 4 million people, there is heaps of places to hide out so-to-speak.
I haven't even been down South!  ;D So if you do come down we'll take the Challenger down and have a look together.  ;)
I've only been up North which they say is the "Beach" type place to be, then down South it's all moutains, beaches (cold water temp) snow etc, thats where they shot the scenes in LOTR. Straight driving roads down there, they even speak with a different accent, they roll there R's. LMAO!!  ;D

;) Hey LB, if the valve train componets hold together this year we'll put you in the seat of a 70 Topbanana Charger 500 SE good buddy, a pistol grip 4 speed none the less, lol. With that monster cam I'll just keep the rpm's down a bit and shouldn't have any problems. Thinking about replacing the valve springs, to keep things from "floating" away, you know like pushrods and lifters found up in the valley, lol. Anyone know when Carlisle is this year?,lol, anyone ready to go?  ;D 8)
