There was one down there that was in pretty good shape before I left. It was a good candidate for a restoration. I was thinking of getting it but too many irons in the fire, It was straight and little rust. The engine was done and it had drums. Mine was a disc brake truck and a rebuild kit for my 360 and the swap would have been good for that truck.
I am getting back in a few weeks. If it's still there I'll holler at you. Just PM me and remind me in three weeks and I'll get some pics if I can. The guy has a LRET too complete with stacks and wooden on the bed.
Me and a workmate had been driving by the LRET for some time and one day he said he stopped and looked at it. It was sitting in a vacant lot w/ a bunch of other vehicles.
He said there was only two (2) things wrong w/ it. Excited, I said what was it.
He said there was a sign on it that said "Not 4 Sale" and another that said,
"Don't touch this fu(hin truck!".
Yep, those are two bad things to see alright.
I ended up meeting the guy and talking to him about the white truck like mine. I forgot how much he would take but later told me he was getting 20 calls a day on the LRET. He was never selling it. The first truck he and his wife had when they were married was a LRET and she had recently died. I understood then about his gruffness.
