Need a Master Cylinder rebuild. Does anybody know theses guys?

I have an orginal 70 Challenger Master Cylinder that needs to be rebuilt. Does anybody know theses guys?

I dont know them but try these guys!  Master cylinders can also be professionally rebuilt at places like Brake and Equipment Warehouse in Minneapolis and White Post Restorations in Virginia.

 Hers an interesting part I am told by some that the rebuild kit for this was not availablt but the foks at Brake and Equipment Warehouse tell me it is. Sometimes I just don't know what to believe.

Does your MC need to be sleeved due to excessive pitting ? ....... otherwise rebuild it yourself  nothing to it

I wouldn't advise using a 1-1/8" kit to rebuild a master cylinder with a 1" bore!
The kits for these have not been available for decades.  However if the pistons are still in good shape, one can take the seals out of another kit for a 1" master cylinder and use them to replace the seals on the old pistons.
Brake and Equipment warehouse was talking about making up pistons for these, in fact I made up some engineering drawings of the pistons and gave them to Brake and Equipment warehouse in spring of 2007.  I haven't talked to them since to see if they ever ended up making them.

Here you go, with this drawing, some aluminum stock, and a good machining cell, you too can make up these rare pistons! The secondary piston is supposedly the same as one used on another master cylinder that has kits available, so make up a batch of primarys and you are the '9171 king!

They list 3 kits total, the 1st one I posted 1 1/8 bore front disk rear drums &
a kit for the Hemi car that is also 1 1/8 bore but a different part#

The one year only 1970 disc brake master cylinder for non-hemi E bodies has a casting number 2229171 and has a 1" bore.  The drum brake master cylinder is 1" bore also, however the pistons are not the same as the disc so the kit cannot be used for a disc brake master cylinder.  Some of the seals can be removed from the kit pistons and used on the disc brake pistons, but I don't think that kit has every seal needed to redo both disc brake pistons.
The 1-1/8" kit they list for a hemi will not work on the correct 2229191 casting number master cylinder found on '70-71 disc brake hemi cars.  The primary piston is too short. I know this first hand. I had to have some pistons made up several years ago to restore one of these master cylinders I had at the time. 
I used to work for the company that made United brake parts, I know very well what there catalog lists and that there are many errors.
I don't believe any kit was ever manufactured by the aftermarket to service the 2229171 casting number master cylinder, even in the 70's.  If anyone did list it back then, it would have been an OEM Bendix kit purchased by an aftermarket company and sold in the aftermarket companies box.  Good luck finding one now!

They did end up making some of the pistons from your drawings. it was a funny thing this guy name Rob from Brake and equipment warehouse and I had a conversation today and my master needs a new piston and he tells me about this guy that did drawings for them and thats how he can make up the new piston for my 2229171. Its a small world.

I just went to the local Autozone and got a rebuilt one. They had to order it. Had Cardone on the box.
