What kind of noises?  Did you make sure you had enough piston to valve clearance?

Do you have adjustable rocker arms on it?  Does it sound like it is in one location or all over the top end?

get a scope put in on the valve covers while the car is running youll pinpoint it down... maybe its somewhere else. i thought mine was coming from the valve cover and it turned out to be loose converter bolts...

A tapping sound could be a leak between the heads and your exhaust manifolds, or headers.   :grinyes:

I was going to mention that too. When I heard a tapping sound coming from mine I also thought it was the valve train, after re-tightening the exhaust mainifolds it went away.
