Canadian Challenger 500 SRT8
« on: July 20, 2008 - 11:43:37 PM »
Here are some pics of the first Challenger we received, we have 5 more still sitting waiting on rail cars in Windsor.

Awesome car, way more fun to drive than my 70 for the naysayers. Just can't wait for a convertible to be available!!

The 500 is a Canada only thing and the cars come fully loaded. There is supposed to be only 500 available  but I have heard stories that there is a little better than 600 of them.

:cooldancing: Great photos Shaun thank you for sharing them with us!!

I heard that the 500 authenticity comes with a $2000 price tag...pretty cool only in Canada !! Was there a reason for this?

Thank you !!

the silver hood stripe looks nice against the black body, maybe just needs a red outline (pinstripe) of the hood stripe would tweak it a bit

Did you buy it or just test drive it. Right now I don't think I could afford to test drive an SRT8!  :-[

I don't know if there was a reason or Chysler saw it as an easy opportunity to make a little more cash by playing a heritage/tribute card. It is for sure more collectible than #3608 out of 6400 that the U.S guys get to have.

I didn't buy it but seeing as I am a tech and the Service Manager I did perform the pre-delivery inspection myself. ;D

Chrysler is also doing that with the 300C, Heritage, Edition, SRT Design edition, etc. With their current financial status I'm SURE its a strategy to more vehicles off the showroom floor...but that's the business they are in, trying to get the customer to pony up with the $ by dangling enticements
