What do you mean?

I see
INDY
ARP
Childs and Albert
Clevite
Comp
Fel-Pro

626HP and 640Lbft on Pump Gas
The only non identifiable part is their in house Crank and roller rockers.  Probably the same or similar to the 440 source stuff.  And Jeff was willing to use that.

They also have short blocks if you want to put the rest together yourself.
Just putting the option out there.

I was maybe planning on building a 499 for a member here useing 440 sorce kit and me building a new set of 906 heads for 3k . Nothing monster, just a good engine. The kits are around 1300 bucks for crank rods and pistons, then I was going to go with clevite bearings, speedpro rings, melling pump, cloyes chain. New hardend seats new guides, 214 181 valves, new hyd cam springs and lifters.  I would be useing my friends machine shop and balancing myself. I already have the honing plates. As a retirement gift to this member, I think I can do this for around 3k /3200. Primed and ready for covers. So you can do it yourself and save bigtime if you really need to.  I am not planning on building engines to sell to anyone no time soon, I am always working on my other job, but I thought this gift would be appreciated.

The short block is completed with an oil pan, pick up tube, high volume oil pump,
that features our own 4340 4.15 stroke crank and H beam connecting rods
The heads are filled with stainless one-piece valves
Demon carburetor, and a complete dyno session where the cam is broken in, oil is changed and a series of dyno pulls are used to determine optimum timing and jetting.                                                               Add$ 1799
All of that power achieved with a hydraulic cam
Roller rockers (w/stock offsets)
A gasket matched single plane intake and cast aluminum valve covers

not enough details for me... too shady....... of course everyone sees those big names spuradically through there...

maybe its what he might want.....   :dunno:

Only $442 to upgrade to roller cam?  When roller lifters alone cost $500, I have a hard time believing that.  I mean, I believe them, but I have to question the quality.

Thoughts?  on using a higher lift, more agrerssive cam and Rhodes lifters for the bleed down so he still has vacuum and better idle? :dunno:

this is why I use specific Engle & Lunati cam grinds because you can get near to Roller performance & profiles for street combos without using bleed down hyd lifters
I have dealt with Muscle Motors in Lansing & they seems good , not sure how they are doing roller cam upgrades for $500 though , I would call them & ask

I have been avoiding all hyd lifter cams where the customer is willing to go to solid , the idea of intentionally bleeding down a lifter seems wrong as well when the whole idea is to not have them bleed down but it seems to work ok

I dont think you need anti pump lifters , there are too many good design cams now adays. Have heard bad stories about Rhodes
