Hello to all from a newb
« on: July 24, 2008 - 08:20:15 PM »
Hello all,

I am joining the forum because I am working on becoming a cuda owner very soon.  My very first car was a 1971 barracuda that I purchased with money earned from part-time jobs.  I bought it for $2,800 in the early 90's.  I thought it was the greatest muscle car on the planet.  I later, and regretfully, traded to a friend for a 76 firebird formula.  He wrecked and then sold the car about a year later.
In fact, I am contacting old high school buddies in a search for it.  I would love to find that car.  But if anyone knows of a good project cuda 70-74 I am interested.  I want to redo one from the ground up and would like a complete car.
Oh, I am located in Independence, mo.  I have not set up a profile just yet.

Welcome to the site.  There are lots of cars for sale on the site and there are always some on Craigslist and E-bay.  When you find yours, you'll have lots of help and encouragement to fix yours up.   :dogpile:

Thank you to everyone on the forum for the warm welcome.  I am not finding much luck in finding my old barracuda so I am begining the search for a 1970-1974 barracuda/cuda.  I look forward to sharing my experience with you guys while picking your brains/experience with restoring one of these classics.
