How do any of you keep the bubble attached, does it even need to be. final touches and the chally will have a new look on life any ideas?

not sure what you are asking
the shaker base bolts down to the top of the carb with the air cleaner & the bubbles bolts to the base over the air cleaner

What I am asking is what kind of nuts to attach the bubble the the base if any?

The bubble attaches to this that attaches to the carb baseplate.
