Thanks for the compliments, guys. My ego is pumped for another round
Nice pic!
Sorry to hear that you still haven't found a job yet. Is there a job you you could do with your photography talent?
I've been working on that, but for fine art photography it takes time to develop a business, several years. Wedding photography, sports photography, those kind of things can make some serious bucks, but a) they require different skillsets than I've developed for fine art, and b) some of them require some specialized and pricey equipment. For a couple of years I was taking pics at Summit Point, for instance, but to get really good sellable results I needed a lens that was in the $4000 range.
Marquette, international paper company? I work there once in a while My grandfather had 2000 acres in copper harbor, but he has passed away. But I do get up there close to that area.
The same MArquette. The pic is the lighthouse on Lake Superior. It's supposed to be the most photographed structure in the Upper Peninsula. Copper Harbor and the Keewenau has some nice stuff as well. I've been putting together a backpackable large format photo system over the years and one day I plan to through-hike Pictured Rocks; that has some of the best landscapes I've ever seen.
