Saw my first yesterday at a dealership in White Rock, near Vancouver BC.
There were two black ones.
The salesman said the owner of the dealership had the keys locked up in his vault. Nobody was allowed to see under the hood or touch one.
I asked how much and...without a trace of a smile, he said $70,500. (my wife thinks he said $75,000 - I am not sure)
After I started breathing again, I said that you could get them in the US for invoice at some dealerships, what the heck does he think he is doing?
He said "Yeah, but these are NUMBERED cars and will be bought by collectors and stored away."
He actually seemed annoyed when I suggested that they were just a car and not really all that special.
"These will be collectors and worth a fortune some day" Uhhh, yeah.
He seemed really excited that they had "Real dual exhausts, not pipes that go together and then split again." Yup, that will make me want one!
What an idiot!!!
Anyway.......they are BIG cars. They look good for sure, but I really like the looks of the originals.
The Ebods have a lot more finesse, like they were designed with a sharpened pencil, rather than a crayon.
