I just saw my first today!   :grinyes:

It was surreal, looking in the rear view mirror and seeing that mean looking front end looking back at me!  I got a good look at it as it drove by.  It looks WAY better in person than in pics!  Looks like all business, ready to race!  :burnout:

Saw my first one too, a black one, last week on the way to work. Even on the other side of a six lane road surounded by other traffic (and other black cars) it still stood out. Maybe they're more obvious to us because we're enthusiasts and members here; the guys I car pool with didn't notice it.

I've seen three now, and there was one at the cruise-in last Friday night.  I had my Challenger there, and my neighbor, his fiance and her brother were all there in my neighbor's Chevelle.  Turned out that the guy who had the new Challenger was a friend of the fiance's brother.  The owner looked my car over, and then we went over to his new orange one, and he let me sit in it.  The seats are very comfortable..they kinda wrap you up like the mid 80's Honda Prelude seats.  Very cool car, and if I had the money to spend, I'd get one.  They have a great feel to them, and I love the thicker steering wheel too!

Been checking them out...The dealer had one,I stopped by.   Then the other day I saw it on the street.  It stuck out like a sore thumb to me!  I'm having a hard time not going in deep on a black R/T.

CrazyPete,
If I had a choice between your Yellow one & the new Orange one,  it would be the Yellow one by far.
The new Challenger is nice but the interior nothing like the old & the MSRP is over price by about 6k...
$41,985.00,  I don't think so...

Saw my first yesterday at a dealership in White Rock, near Vancouver BC. :canada:  There were two black ones.

The salesman said the owner of the dealership had the keys locked up in his vault.  Nobody was allowed to see under the hood or touch one.
I asked how much and...without a trace of a smile, he said $70,500.  (my wife thinks he said $75,000 - I am not sure)

After I started breathing again, I said that you could get them in the US for invoice at some dealerships, what the heck does he think he is doing?
He said "Yeah, but these are NUMBERED cars and will be bought by collectors and stored away."
He actually seemed annoyed when I suggested that they were just a car and not really all that special.
"These will be collectors and worth a fortune some day"  Uhhh, yeah.

He seemed really excited that they had "Real dual exhausts, not pipes that go together and then split again."  Yup, that will make me want one!

What an idiot!!!

Anyway.......they are BIG cars.  They look good for sure, but I really like the looks of the originals.
The Ebods have a lot more finesse, like they were designed with a sharpened pencil, rather than a crayon.

It's not even worth the aggravation of asking these guys why the sticker is so high.  Most of them are out of their ever loving minds .  I still see Craigs List adds in here in Dallas from dealers asking $70+.  Just makes you wan to
