Sleepy- nice pictures! That will help me figure out what I need for sure.  :2thumbs:

A couple of things- is your car a 727 or a 904? If its a 904, I believe you'll need a driveshaft as well.

Also, I see you've got a chunk of frame that goes along with your z-bar bracket. Are you planning on using it at all? I might be interested in it otherwise (just the frame, not the bracket) as I have a little rust repair to do on that framerail of my car...

:bananasmi :bananasmi just ordered the shifter bar swivels. they will be here by wednesday.

72bluNblu,

I have the 727 in mine, so one less part to buy. I am only installing the bracket, so when i cut it off, pm me and the frame rail is yours.

I dont have a spare handle, but i do have spare grips. and the shifter that doesnt have a handle, doesnt have anyway to hold a handle in it. i would have to drill and bolt with that one.

i see. the handle i have is pretty crummy too. it came out of a car that someone had welded the handle to the shifter.... needless to say that took a lot of grinding to get it to work again, and it is out of a 1970 so it definately looks used and abused, like it belongs in there.

Is the shifter a slip-in type?  if so I have an the inserts that hold the handle in.  Let me know...

Hey Drew,
Are you worried at all about the slack in your rearend since the 4-speed will allow harder launches/shifts?

The shifter mounting plate in your 1st picture looks like a b-body, not an e-body.
