The shifter mounting plate in your 1st picture looks like a b-body, not an e-body.
dang it, can anyone else verify this. i dont have an extra one of those and have no need for b body stuff!!!

Hey Drew,
Are you worried at all about the slack in your rearend since the 4-speed will allow harder launches/shifts?
not really, i will just have to be more easy on it till i can get new gears.

Awesome! Looking forward to the pictures. I hav a few more parts to buy, but my 340 will be back from the machine shop soon, and hopefully not too long after that it will be ready to go in with the A833 OD I got for it. I'm pretty sure I know everything I'll need at this point, but its always helpful to see it done!

Good luck! before you  know it you'll be  :burnout:

UPDATE

I am here at Alans, after looking over all my parts and realizing that WE ARE STILL MISSING STUFF, and ordered what i was missing we got started. The auto trans is out, looking at the crank, suprise suprise, Alan was correct again and the HP crank was already drilled for a 4 speed and fits the bushing. Alan has the handy dandy pilot bushing installer there and ready to go and is pulling the flex plate as we type to install that bushing. I am looking at this really optimistically and thinking only good thoughts.  :smokin: I have been taking lots of pictures and will post them up  later. for now, back to  :working:

I hope you guys put some wheel bearing grease inside the pilot bushing before you put the clutch or tranny in. Only takes a few seconds now or a couple of hours later.
