Back in an e-body
« on: July 27, 2008 - 06:04:46 PM »
Just bought back an old friend...third time I've bought this car

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1970-Plymouth-Barracuda-Convertible-Real-FC7-Car_W0QQitemZ320276940138QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320276940138&_trksid=p3756.m14.l1318

Out of the 100 mopars I've owned, there are only a few I'd want to have back...and this is one of them.

I had to sell both my B bodies to get her back,so I'll be down to one old mopar. This will also put my purchase of an 09 challenger on the back burner for awhile, but I think it's worth it. I really dont have the time for two old cars now anyway, so this simplifies things for me too.

Good thing about this deal is I know this car, so no surprises.

That's pretty neat, has it changed much since you had it?  Very nice looking car!

:wow: Great score,  is it counted as another car if it is the same car you had :clueless: what does this make it number 101 or 102 Mopars :bananasmi

I noticed that there were number stamping pics of the car. Was the one that looked like it was stamped into bare metal the engine block?

I looked at the car and talked with Andy a long time at Carlisle. I wanted the car , but didn't want to part with my other cars. I think it is a very nice car. At least I know where it went and can keep up with it maybe. If you sell one day maybe you will post it here and I will be in a better position.

Thanks everyone, it's good to get her back. I only counted it as 1 car before, as the time between selling/buying/selling last time was only 6 months, but as this has been 3-4 years, i think i can count this as #101.

this deal includes the #'s matching engine and trans....matter of fact they are still in the shipping containers I boxed them in when i sold it the last time.

I paid $4K more for the car than when i sold it...not a bad deal since it now has a new top and some other things done to it.

I think I'll try and hold on to it this time. I'll make some changes (white interior and rallye gages, maybe a six bbl setup) but thats about it.

Congrats getting the car back. I hope you've learned your lesson and don't sell it again.
