e-body overhead console re-upholstering???
« on: July 28, 2008 - 01:42:18 AM »
How do you do this?  Do you have to cut the material in a particular pattern?

I lay the material over it and there's no way to cover it w/o having folds in the material. :help:

The material I used was very "stretchy". I started out with it overlayed on the panel leaving it large. Installed the trim and front bezel and slowly worked down the edges. I dont think I glued the edges, but stretched and glued it on the bottom. I may have had aa wrinkle in one of the front corners but was able to stretch and work it out.

Yup, just streach it out. Use the 3M spray adhesive. Mine ended up with a crease in the front, but you cant see it with the rear view mirror installed
