Hello from Kansas
« on: July 28, 2008 - 03:28:05 PM »
I just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Rob and I live in Olathe, Kansas.  I just purchased my first Cuda and will pick it up on Sunday.  It is an original U code 1970 440 (single 4 barrel) 4 speed car.  It does need alot of cleaning up and a few interior items but the body is in great shape.  I will try to get pictures of it as soon as I get it home.

Thanks,
Rob

Welcome neighbor,

I'm not far from you...Independence, MO.  I haven't been a member for even a week but so far this seems to be an excellent site with lots of experience with these cars.

Hey leithal, my car looks like your cude minus the rear spoiler.  Thanks for the welcome to the site everyone.  I imagine I will become very familiar with you all since this is my first Mopar.  I still have my 1970 442 W-30 that I have owned since 1977 (undergoing a restoration) so I may need alot of questions answered as I go throught Cuda.

Thanks again,
Rob

thedodgeboys,
That sounds like a plan.  The car needs a carb work, a new battery and it has been sitting so I want to go over all the systems before it hits the road.  The engine was running fine until a few months ago and has not been started since.  The person I go it from just gave up on alot of his toys and is selling them off.  He has a 1970 Challenger with a 426 Hemi in it (originally a 318 car).  He is asking $45,000 for it.
