Anyone looking for a Challenger flat hood?
« on: July 29, 2008 - 03:41:51 PM »
I may have found some good prices on some original Challenger flat hoods.  I am in the process of emiling the guy and just wanted to know how many people would be interested.  If it works out, I will not be trying to make a profit , just trying to help out a few of the members.

Just in case there are a bunch of you interested, I will go with the people with the most posts first, since they have been contributung to this site the most.  Let me know.

Soon as I find out some more info I will let everyone know.  :2thumbs:

Ok here is what I now know:

He has 4 of them and I can get them for $50 each plus a few dollars for gas to get them (several miles away), so lets say $60 each.  They need a little work, but from the pictures he sent me, they should be fixable.  I am willing to go buy these and hold them for you, but I need to make sure they are all acountted for.  I mean, I do not want to get stuck with them for a long time because my storage area is limited right now.

Let me know who is interested.

That is what I was thinking, but I was hoping to help out a few members on here.  I was also thinking that I might try out a shaker on my car.  I just wonder if it would work with the edelbrock intake and carb that I have now.  Anyone know?   :dunno:

And here are the pictures of them that he sent.

I found out that the black one has a fiberglass hood scoop mounted to it.

I plan on going to get only two hoods on Saturday since noone else was interested.  I talk to him over the phone and he said he has a Cuda.  I will mention this site to him.  :2thumbs:

Well I went to the seller's house today and bought all four hoods  :faint:  They are in real good shape and I just could not leave without them.

The owner was real nice and he is a big E-body fan.  He showed he his wife's Challenger and his Cuda.  He also retores Mopars and has three other Challenger's he is working on.  I told him about this place and I hope he comes to visit.
