New Guy w/ 70 Challenger - Great/Lucky find!!!
« on: July 30, 2008 - 07:16:50 AM »
I just purchased a 70 Challenger that is soooo original it's fantastic!!!!!!!!
White with a Black vinyl top, 318 two barrel, factory A/C, tinted POWER windows(that work), original AM radio, 94,500 miles and it still has the original exhaust system!!!
The entire interior looks like new except for a small area where the drivers left foot wore the carpet. The seats and dash are perfect.
The guy that had the car owned it for 22 years, but did not drive it for the last 10 years. He says he'd start it every few weeks, so it runs. BUT, we're going to put a new gas tank in it since this ones probably got issues. The other problem is that the brake system is DRY, no brake fluid at all. The A/C will also need a little love.
It's originally a California car, so there is only some minor surface rust on the belly, the paint needs some help, she's a true beauty..............

I'm so freakin thrilled to have found this car I almost pee myself when I think about it. This is all possible because of a guy that owed me nothing, but treated me like a brother. He's been a big MOPAR guy for over 30 years. He told me about the car, and he trailered it to his place where he's helping me get it on the road.
Thank God for good people!!!
THANK YOU to Jim Stewart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very thankful to be part of the MOPAR family after 20 years of dreaming about it.
Thanks,
Glenn Bruce

Welcome to the site, Glen!  That's very cool you were able to find such a clean, original car with the mileage it has (mine showed 92,600 mi. and was a project).  I see you even have power windows...Very cool!!! :2thumbs:

  Welcome, Glen!

Great looking car!  Definately a great find!   The Magnums and Bodyside mouldings give the car a very unique look!
