Dream Design Challenger Contest
« on: July 30, 2008 - 04:26:19 PM »
I just wanted to drop by and let you guys know about this cool design your own Challenger contest going on right now through August 25th on MSN Autos.

The way it works is you design your dream your idea of the ultimate customized Challenger through the MSN’s Challenger Customizer and you could walk away with one of two sweet rides. A panel of judges will select one grand prize winner to receive their own customized 2009 Challenger R/T, designed just the way you imagined it. A second winner, decided by most general user votes, will also receive a factory equipped 2009 Challenger R/T.

In addition to the vehicle prizes, there are weekly drawings to win great prizes like an 8GB Zune, or an Xbox Live Gold Membership, just to name a few.

The grand prize winners will be announced on or around September 25, 2008.

If you're interested in checking it out, visit http://www.dreamcarchallenge.com ... If nothing else, the customizer tool is pretty fun to play around with.

Also as an fyi, anyone looking for more Challenger updates can sign up at dodge.com/challenger/updates to recieve exclusive Challenger updates.

Thanks,

Will

I just built a pretty cool 09 R/T for 37k and change. I am figuring I should be able to deck out a vert R/T 6 speed for under 40. I could live with that.

Meh, really cool contest but the lag from the website makes it impossible to do really small details even if you wanted to...OOO!!! photoshop template! Now we are talkin!

http://www.dreamcarchallenge.com/main/Default.aspx?ic=modelLink&iv=285955

Can't really tell but it has 71' R/T stripes on the sides without the R/T on the end.  They really don't let you do any REALLY cool stuff, I was going to do a shaker hood but the R/T hood is modeled in.

I really just might have to check this out.  I'm pretty capable at photoshop myself and I'm really thinking I can go "outside the box" on this one.

We'll see.  I'm sure competition will be fierce.

There are definitely some sweet submissions in this contest.  It's really cool that dodge set this up.  I like when companies do fun marketing and get the die-hards involved.

My favorite Dodge Challenger Concept submission so far is the "FNXRising" one.  The Detail work on the hood and trunk top is unreal!  I placed my 30 point vote on this one, and you can vote daily on the same vehicle up to 20 different vehicles.  I would like to see this one go from concept to creation.

I have also entered this contest and I really need help with some votes. You have to be in the top 1,000 to qualify for the 2nd Challenger they are giving away. So if you can help give a few votes I would really appreciate it.

I don't really think Dodge set this up - this is an MSN thing.

I was going to try to work on something but the visuals on the site are so poor - even exporting the car image onto a wallpaper backdrop or something - it looks worse than an old playstation game!

The votes are in and the Grand Prize and Peoples Choice winners of the MSN Dream Design Challenge have been selected! The Grand Prize winner, decided by a judge's panel, is Jonathon S. of Aliso Viejo, CA.  And the People’s Choice winner, decided by... well, the "people", is Duane H. of Haddon Heights, NJ.

If you want to check out the winning designs, they can be seen on the Challenger Flickr site.  If you’re in the area, you will also be able to check out Jonathons winning design at the L.A. Auto Show (November 21-30), only it'll be the real deal.  Big thanks to everyone who played!

Cheers,
