How do you get the trunk open?

This car was at one time being prepped to be a drag car, but turned in a pro street and although you can't see it, has a roll cage.  Trunk is fiberglass panel and is held down with four springloaded screwin devices.  I'm sure there's a proper name for them, but I don't know what it is.

Do you mean Dzus fasteners, aka 1/4 turn fasteners?

Exactly.  One more thing I learned.  Kind of a pain when fueling up, but so be it when you have a fuel cell.  Thanks.

I've been going to go over there, but haven't felt like fighting the traffic.  I work in Ballantyne and might drive my car to work one of these days and head over after work

Well, put the 'Cuda on the dyno today and like everyone else who has possible unreasonable expectations, I was a little disappointed with the numbers.  Now I did go back through past threads just for comparsion and find that maybe I'm not that far off where most street cars might be.  At rear wheel I showed 305hp at 5,500 and 319ft-lbs torque at 4,200.  For a 360 with iron heads and what I feel was a bit of transmission slip (going into the shop tomorow for a rebuild) I guess those are fairly decent numbers.  I did have an opportunity to meet CudaDave at the shop and admired his '72 'Cuda.  Very nice, Dave.  Any feedback on these numbers?  Thanks.

Can't give you any feedback on the numbers (never had access to a dyno to have mine run) but that is one nice looking ride.

Hey man, I'm glad to see you back giving a follow-up on your post!  I had a similar experience with my car recently.  I went to the dyno and had lower numbers then I expected.  I understand that if you have an auto with an aggresive converter then the numbers can be quite a bit lower then what they actually are at the crank.  For me, I go by the driveability and FUN factor and there's no sheet of paper that can put that kind of smile on your face   I think the dyno is great for checking your air/fuel and getting your tune dialed in so that you have the piece of mind that everything is running fine.

It was great to meet you in person! Concidering the fact that you had a slipping transmission, a stall convertor and what looks to be stock style iron heads I feel those #s were awesome. The tranny alone could be holding back 50 plus horsepower!!! Awesome car!!!
