Doug , I'll keep you (and all) posted on this one for sure. I would be intrestred to know if the car still exsists. If it should be reunited. I know what he'd like to get for it, and kow what i'll pay. What do you think $ wise? As I mentioned before there's a story here. Involving a few things that I can't mention as of yet.

Bigs you,re a BIG tease..... :poopoke:

I'd say for a bare block in that shape........$800 to $1000.

I hope the owner of the car it came out of see this and gets his/her motor back.

Now that would be a cool story.  :2thumbs:

For those of us that are stupid (Mopar challenged & I am referring to me), What is it that's special (other than a 440 block)?? :clueless:

Matt,

I believe the HP2 engraving makes it a 440-6 pack block.

Ron, Not trying to tease , but I don't know Where or if this guy goes to any of the sites (here/DC/moparts) and cicumstances dictate discretion at the moment. But when I do tell the story, it will be a good one!!

HP is high performance.

The 2 means it was assembled on second shift.

The engine is from a 1969 Hamtramck built car. All 1969 440-6 cars were built at Lynch Road assembly plant.  ;)

my warranty block does not have a stamp number on the oil pan rail...

will be cool to hear the background on this one....
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Warranty blocks or blocks sold over the counter will not have a VIN number on it like this one does.

Since it is a 1969 440 car from Hamtramck, it is either from a Charger or one of the rare 440 A-Bodies.
