HD Leaf Springs.....

Anyone know what a difference in ride height I would get If i changed over to the Big Block Springs from Mopar?

Like an idiot, 3 or so years ago I bought new springs but i was worried about it Ski Jacking so I opted for the stock springs.....

I think Id like a little more height but not too much. I'll post a side pic when i get a good one... Maybe I can get a photochop pic.

I don't believe big block springs have any more ride height.  They have a higher spring rate because of the additional leaves, but less arch.  AAR/TA springs had a higher ride height to clear the side exhaust.  Kinda strange since these were supposed to be the handling e-bodies but they got the rear end jacked up.

Ditto what ChangingGears said. The XHD springs don't add ride height, just spring rate.

FWIW, I always thought TA/AARs had a higher rear ride height because of the different sized tires, not different arch springs.

Hmmm... I thought you could add height... Oh well, we'll see if there are any alternatives..

Wally, I bought my new HD springs from Espo. I had them arched one inch over stock.
MEK also has the espo springs and his is two inches over stock, both have a good look to them without being too high.

Yeah Wally,

  The Espo springs are the way to go. You just have to decide if you want 1", or 2" over-stock height. Believe it or not, April was the one that turned me on to Espo.     They even carry the hardware you might need. I bought new shackels since I boogered up my old ones trying to take them apart.

Yeah Wally426 I got the MP HD leafs on mine. Not much rake at all.  But I knew that going in since i wanted the car a bit lower for the 17's.  Cheap lowering springs LOL.

I went with the Mopar XHD springs and love the ride height... my rear tires are 27" tall and it has a pretty perfect stance in my book

it does look like a good ride height too... Mine sits exactly level, but im thinking of going up an inch or so, we'll see. Im always jumping ahead of myself.... I still have TTI's and a deep trans pan to put on...
