That's pretty crazy and I'm sure it works if you have at least two phones to reflect the signal between...Who knows, maybe it requires four or more to effectively work as shown. :dunno:

Don't worry about it. That inoperable brain tumor you develop in 15 years will just be a coincidence.

Loooooooool thought this had hoax written all over it and it does

Could you imagine the stench of cooked brains if it was true? Lool

Seems it is an advertising gimmick...good one too I guess...can't imagine how many people are sitting around tables right now staring at kernels of popcorn willing them to pop...with nonstop phones ringing

Feel kinda like a party crasher but here's the real truth

Update #1: The videos were indeed part of a viral marketing campaign for Cardo Systems, makers of Bluetooth headsets.

Update #2: Cardo Systems CEO Abraham Glezerman reveals how the cell phone popcorn trick was done

Was this the popping popcorn one?  I can't load the link at work.

Just in case it is, I wanted to confirm that this was a joke - the cell phone company created this commercial about using cell phones to pop popcorn - it was intentionally "leaked" on You-tube and somehow, the cell phone company responsible had like, 10-times as many hits on their website as usual after the video came out.  They admitted on CNN that it wasn't real, but wouldn't reveal how they did it.

The sad thing is it was done for advertisement but could really have caused some fear that wouldn't have been necessary.  What people will do today for a buck...

Pretty funny. There's another one (Urban legend) showing 3 cell phones turning a raw egg into a "hard boiled" egg. Sorry folks, but just not enough wattage. Just like a cell phone causing a gas pump explosion. It got busted too on "Myth Busters". But I do know a guy at work that had a cell phone in his pocket and just happened to fart at the same time that it rang. Blew his shorts right off.  :roflsmiley: :smilielol: :poopoke:
