I do have the dimple in the back of the MC to accept the pushrod.
It is a MP piece from Mancini that is plastic (weight) that was mated with a 6 1/2 (I think) booster to clear valve covers (MPs black with finned aluminum--selling them if anyone is interested?)
Went to wrinkle covers and clearence is less of an issue, now just want to get back on the road. I will get some pictures now and post shortly. What else is needed? Thanks for everyone's help
