some progress and some wondering

ok so I decided do do some electrical stuff. I started off by putting on a new transmission neutral/safety harness on. That went quick and works. Then I decided to work on the overhead console. I got the seat belt and low fuel light to work the way it should. I couldn't get the door ajar light to work because I'm missing the switches. If anyone has some switches to spare pleas let me know. Now comes the frustration. I have two problems. One when I turn on my headlights my right signal comes on and stays solid and won't blink. When the headlights off the signal works fine. Another problem is none of my instrument  lights work. I changed the bulbs and the fuses with no luck. any suggestions on how to trouble shoot these problem?

grounds , the headlights have a black harness that bolts onto the rad wall beside the battery where the extra wire from the battery also grounds to
, the turn signal socket may also need to be properly grounded , same thing with the dash lights , you need to have the cluster & the light panel grounded to work

     More problems occur because of poor grounds, make sure your wiper switch is properly grounded also or the wipers won't "park" You should consider using relays for your head lights to remove the heavy load from the headlight switch.

ok the light panel isn't grounding. How should I fix this problem.

I got the light panel to work. Still no change with the turn signal headlight problem. I checked the radiator mount ground. I cleaned it and no fix. I also disconnected the ground and the checked the light. It still did it with no ground connected.

Problem with the turn signal could be a bad bulb, there are two filaments & if one is broken & shorted to the other then it acts as single circuit so when when you turn on your headlights the power is sent back through the turn signal wiring lighting up your indicator.

It would be either the front valence(guess a 70 cuda it's in the grill) or rear tail lamp...the ones that flash when the turn signals are activated.

  Do you have a negative lead from the battery going to the body, I have fitted a lead to the front radiator panel as well as to the motor. Make sure that the ground wire makes contact with bare metal.

The bulb did the trick. Thanks so much guys. Oh and I have the negative going to the engine and the starter relay. Should I ground it to the body too?

the neg battery cable should be on the engine , the start relay doen`t need a ground
