I like it, but I agree that they missed the boat on the retro look.  It looks more like a continuation rather than a tribute to the 60's model.  As for the interior, the pictures in that article are from the concept.  If you look you will see the silver on the side view mirrors and the black hood bulge.  Anyone hear when they are supposed to go into production?  I look forward to seeing them out on the street.  One interesting side note, Car and Driver noted how much larger the new one is compared to the original.  Sound familiar?

IMO, I think it looks nice.  A lot of cues fromo the '69 Camaro.

I think it's just cool to see modern retro muscle in the form of Challengers, Mustangs, and Camaros.  Can't wait to see some red light action!  :burnout:

This is a qoute from the Motortrend article "On the inside, the Camaro takes many of the concept's signature retro futuristic cues and wraps them in a cozy cabin that screams musclecar all the way." The pictures are of the production car and not the concept.

I like it.  Wouldn't purchase one.
Looks real good in blue with white stripes or silver with blue stripes.
If the Firebird is made I would consider it.
As we all know the Pontiac is always better looking than the chebbies.  They would be foolish to not make a firebird.

As with all their cars from the Corvette to the Camaro, they have gotten progressively uglier with every incarnation. The rear view borders on hideous, just like the new Vette. I give it 3  :puke: :puke: :puke: 's

I will have to agree with you on the rear view of the car.  They could have done a little better on the design.
The rear quarter gills are awesome.  Very much like the 67-69 firebirds.

I like it. Not just because of the style, but  because there bringing it back. To me, both the old school and the new school show alot of artistic design. Having said that they might not qualify for the Picasso signature any time soon but hey if you like them, buy them and drive them!

I look at the side profile of the Camaro, and think it is darn near perfect.  They have used many of the lines of the 67-69 car, with a modern interpretation.  But then I look at the front end (think Monte Carlo SS), and then I look at the rear of the car (Lumina), and I don't like the overall package.

Just my  :2cents:

Ford hit a grand slam with the 05 Mustang and have sales to prove it.

If Chryco gets the production numbers out and keeps the pricing reasonable (not 20K bids over list) the Challenger will be a home run.

GM will sell Camaros because they are Camaros.  I see the 69 influence in the new one as much as I see the 70 Charger in the current Charger crop.  Just doesn't quite cut the mustard.

I like it - but that rear view sure could have used some work. And I think the article is right - by having every engine option available from launch they are going to sell more than the Challenger.

It's not bad. I wouldn't say I'm in love with it an MUST have one. They did an average job on retro styling the car. Good to see them coming back with cars of their own, keeps Chrysler on their toes. But, the Challenger, IMO, has it licked in all areas.
