Magnum bell be the same? May be a little tougher finding a '99 bell..hmm
If your seriously considering this why not get the whole tamale....modern 5-speed, maybe look at Dakota models as well. I'm pretty sure Shelbydog can give you some insight.

Hmm, well there is a lakewood scattersheild that mates a TKO to a mopar small block


 :clueless: There are plenty of options on a setup. It's more expensive to go with the 5speed of course..but vs dropping a couple hundred into a 833..it may just be worth it  :clueless:

Definately true, finally starting a career I can make money at in the begininng of the year is a step in the right direction too! Talking with various people, it seems most efficient of time and money to put a TKO in vs the 833. But different situations will dictate what ends up going in. Thanks!

Mopar makes a conversion bell as well to the TKO. For new hemis and LA sb's. Bit pricey at $550 though! ("moparts racing" has it for $490 http://www.mopartsracing.com/parts/trans.html)  Looks like there is some existing bracketry for a slave cylinder...

If your looking for the TKO hydraulics.....think 5.0 Ford.  The TKO for the Mopars is a ford based unit, use a nice Tilton master cylinder and the new Ram throw out bearing and I bet you are under $300.00 for the whole enchilada.  Remember the rod ends, turn buckle and mounting post that attaches to the pedal.....and use the existing hole in your floor and purchase the floor board grommet for the 4 speed from Brewers.

By the way, you are not tied to the aftermarket scattershields.  Look at the cast bellhousing that Classic Mopar 5 Speed sells with the roller pilot bearing to get you going.  $249.00 for the Bell. $65.00 for the roller pilot bearing.

Right, thats what I understand about these trans, my 318 doesnt make any power past that. And it's easy to make a mean street motor with a ton of grunt and go keeping under 6k. Especially with the 5spd.

I shift mine at 6500 and don't have a problem.  I really think alot of the issues that people see are direct results from improper bell housing alignment.  When they say .005 TIR, they mean just that.  I would bet that quite a few people get it close and they go with it.  ?

This has already been done before on a Mopar. I remember seeing pictures of a slave cylinder bolted to the side of the bell, pushing the stock fork.  Seach Moparts or the internet for those pics.

The old Z-bar is so reliable, I never even thought about changing over my 3 cars.
