    When I changed trannies my mini-starter made a hell of a noise. We had it on the lift, so we just lossened it up and jiggled it around and retightened it and the noise went away.

    What also came to mind is that the converter I now use have 7/16" bolts while the other one had 5/16" so the cover is maybe also an issue.

    Possibly, if you have the wrong bolts. They should have thin heads.

    Wasn't that difficult to discover the problem once the cover was off.  ;) Now it's ready for start up.

    I have the same problem - bolts hit the cover so I have it removed till the tranny gets a new hi-stall tc.

    First startup went good, 20 minutes of good oilpressure and temp. The second, one hours later you see at youtube: GTX oilleak by Moparsweed.
    See the spray of oil and in a few seconds almost all oil was on the floor, I hope the noice is from the belts getting some oil sprayed on them.
    I don't know if the pumpgasket blew or what it is, I just want to give up for the moment. If the bearings ....................... :'( :'(
