Planning on calling in "Sick" so I can go work on my car
« on: August 08, 2008 - 06:37:02 PM »
OK,

I'm sure alot of you out there are guilty of calling in sick.
Your true reason: Your Mopar just dying for some extra attention that you would just be more than happy to give.

So here is what some people have actually said:
But hey we all need a break once in a while...right?

"I was sprayed by a skunk."
"I tripped over my dog and was knocked unconscious."
"My bus broke down and was held up by robbers."
"I was arrested as a result of mistaken identity."
"I forgot to come back to work after lunch."
"I couldn't find my shoes."
"I hurt myself bowling."                      (4C could use this one)
"I was spit on by a venomous snake."
"I totaled my wife's jeep in a collision with a cow."
"A hitman was looking for me."
"My curlers burned my hair and I had to go to the hairdresser."
"I eloped."
"My cat unplugged my alarm clock."
"I had to be there for my husband's grand jury trial."
I had to ship my grandmother's bones to India." (note: she had passed away 20 years ago)

I can come up with better stuff than that. Besides, my boss is a muscle car guy..even if it's a 71 Monte Carlo.  :eek4:

We had a guy send out an email "Working from home.  I need to fix my truck."  Uhm... no you are not working from home, you are working on your truck.  After that the managers sent a note listing all valid reasons for working from home.

I worked with a fella that had about at least ten sets of grandparents & great grandparents that died. He was a pall bearer at all of the funerals!! Had another fella that had a wild night with a lady (I use that term loosely) of the night. He later decided that it was too much money and broke in her place to get his money back. He got arrested for breaking in and called in work with that excuse. Funny part was....it was TRUE!!! :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: Me, I am just sick of work!!! :roflsmiley:
