Yeah, it's about 240 in Denver and 200 in outer regions of Colorado.
I told the guy that scrap is around that much and he seemed to think that he could get much more per car than that.
What can you do??  Some people just think their rust is worth gold.

He did say that the Bee is mostly rust free as well as the complete 72 cuda.

I didn't ask about any of the other cars.

A lot of those cars may not have too much rust on them.  The guy is in Bend, Oregon, which is smack in the middle of the state, east of the Cascades.  It's high desert up there, pretty dry.  It snows some in the winter, but not a lot and is dry all summer.  I spent a little time up there, many years ago - very pretty country.

Talk about too many projects.  That's quite the collection.  But I think I prefer Daytona's.  :roflsmiley:

He wants 10K for the bee.

He wants 10K for the complete 72 barracuda, 383, originally, yeah right.  Plus the other two parts cars which are also 72's

He's crazy for the prices I think.  The bee is an original 383 4speed. Doesn't retain the engine or tranny. Total restore car. This is what he has said.  But, he also said the 72 was originally a 383 and we all know it was not.
He doesn't have a computer so he is computer illiterate and can not post anything online.  He doesn't want to spend the time on the phone to give fender tag info.
So, the only way to get info from this guy is to have someone set up a viewing schedule and go over to see the cars.

Bend is only about 30 miles from me so I went over and looked, I did buy the Bee, it's the real deal but as said needs a restoration on everything.  it's a decent rust free project with original paint and  some high dollar NOS parts, and alot of the rest of  it in the trunk. he's open to offers, I didn't pay half what he started out at.

The E bodies are not rusty but need everything restored as well.  H code standard type cars if I remember right, nothing special but by some guys standards solid projects. I'm an AMC guy and the AMX's had issues, but a friend bought them. the 70 ram air 390 Javelin is a very very nice project, if I hadn't bought the Bee I'd have bought it.

To be honest I didn't look that close, I'm a Challlenger guy so I looked the 71 challenger over , the yellow cuda is a gran Cuda isn't it? I think all of them had the standard dash and small blocks but I won't say that for sure, but no S codes on anything. none of them are anything you're going to throw a battery in and dirve off , they're full on resto projects but as you'd expect very little or no rust . if you have any specific questions I'm going to try to get back over there and pick up a few things I forgot before too long.

AMX guy,

I am glad to hear that you got the bee.  Hopefully it will get a good restore!

Did he seem like he would go down on the price for the barracuda's?
He wanted 10K for all three so if he is willing to negotiate I bet tickle would be able to get him to go down on the price for the over all package.  They are supposed to be in fair shape but need everything restored.

Yes , his prices aren't in stone by any means. some parts are gone off the E body cars but compared to some of the east coast project cars  I've seen they're peaches. I saw the Runner but it's a 71 or newer so I didn't pay much attention.
