My first was in Germany;  Brand new 1972 340 4-speed 'cuda.  I did not have the funds to ship it back... :crying:
Second was in 1978;  it is a 1973 'cuda which I am presently restoring.

Dad co-signed for my first Challenger January 7 of 1977. The stripes, wheels, and motors changed and the vinyl top disappeared over the years but I always kept the original paint/interior color :)

I bought my car in Nov. 2003, paid $4,000 for it.  It cost me $160 more than the original owner paid!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

1978, in March or April I think, I bought my 73.

My first Cuda was a '73 and I purchased it in 1976 for $2600 with 26K miles. I traded it in for a '78 Dodge (Mitsubishi) Challenger when I got married in '78, and got $1500 trade in allowance (big mistake!). In '89 I managed to come a cross a decent '72 Cuda and I've had it since...

Bought mine new in 1973. Challenger Ralley 340 4 speed, red in color.  I still have it.   40K original miles.  Paid $3700 out the door.

Only had the one, 70 R/T "N" car.  Bought in 78, 60k miles, $1500.  Painted it, and took it to the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals, and took 2nd place in the gymkhana (sp) competition.

It was my college graduation present to myself, and I had even advertised in Hot Rod Magazine (May 78, I think), looking for a Vanishing Point car.  Lot of candidate cars, none were exactly what I wanted.  An elderly gentlemen offered a 70 R/T, wrong color, wrong interior, wrong trans, wrong wheels, and the engine had just been rebuilt.  He wanted $4000 for it, which was way over my budget.  It was a genuine, no-kidding, numbers matching Hemi car (D'oh !)

Anyway, I settled for considerably less.  Built in Sep69, column shift auto, ps, am radio, and that's it. Very light green exterior, green vinyl buckets.  I sold it in 1982, and regretted it ever since.  The car is "somehwhere" in Nebraska (Hastings area), titled, but not tagged.

Apologies for the ramblings of an old enthusiast.

I ordered and bought my 1st E-body in September of 1972.  It is my '73 Cuda which I still own with 35,000 miles.   :smokin:

I bought my first a 71 Challenger RT in 1984 for $2,000.00. My next E-body was bought in 1986 and was a 70 440-6 barrel 4-speed Cuda and I paid $3,000.00 for it. My current 71 Challenger RT was bought in 1989 for $3,750.00 and my current 70 Cuda was bought in 2000 for $2,000.00 which it came home in boxes.
