Bella,

there may be 100something thousand Challengers with all years combined, BUT one reason that everyone was so interested in the fender tag is b/c there were so few that were identical. Its the option codes that make them so special. Lets say in the past 10 years, Ive seen one in person with a certain code I have, and 1 on eBay.

Thanks for being so patient with us. Chryco is in Calgary, maybe he can check it out.

Thanks for your replies.

Very interesting that very few fender tags are alike - obviously alot of options to choose from
with various combos. It did not occur to me. Very interesting I understand the fender tag thing
more now.  Well explained.  :clapping:

Is there a central list of dodge challengers in order to keep a track of them and verify they are legit?
Also is there anything on the fender tag or anywhere else on the car that would show it was
a car that the car dealership used as a demo?

My parents did not choose the options. I know the fender tag on my car is legit as my parents
bought it in 1971 direct from the dealership (Chinook Chrysler) as the car we believe was a demo car
and had a few hundred miles on it.

By the way --- Who is Chryco? and where can I find him? and what can he help me with ? Sounds interesting.

Merci Beaucoup/Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for your encouragement. I am a little surprised   :clueless:  that someone out there does not want a piece of Mopar History.
Considering it is all original and in preserved condition, I thought someone out there would and could see and realize what an
easy project this car is, as a survivor car and it being a great show piece.  :2thumbs:

As well, being a 6 cylinder it is economical on fuel/gas, you could drive this car daily as another option. I would think a Mopar Enthusiast
would love to have a Mopar that they could drive daily. I have invested several thousands of dollars into the car as well  :working:
- new brakes and tires, gas tank cleaned out twice, checked out etc.- and the car drives well.  :burnout:
It was never abused in its lifetime as this was a 1 Family Owner Car.

I was hoping someone on one of these forums would be interested in saving a little piece of Mopar History, for the betterment and preservation
of Mopar History. I thought this car was worth saving, given its uniqueness and original preserved state, but I guess I have misunderstood things.
Especially given the economic times we are currently living - priorities change ideals - this is understandable.
But in Alberta, Canada it is still booming economically here.  :money:

I would hate to see this car be torn apart and a big block dropped into it, as many want to buy it cheap and tear it up and apart. I could and would
not sell it to a person, knowing that someone will do this.

So, I have decided that if it does not sell by mid September, as I have listed for sale on various forums, kijiji, car pages, and old ride.com I will send it to
AUCTION in the month of SEPTEMBER. There are a few auctions here within Alberta Canada in the month of September and know that is always a good way of
selling it. This way I do not know what the new owner will do to it and only hope it is preserved. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Thanks again to all of you for your interest, encouragement, help, assistance, input & info. It was all appreciated.  :worshippy

Sincerely,
Bella Beeze
Felicity

I would also love to own a slant-six Challenger and I am saving up parts to own one in the future, but I just cannot see spending that much on another one right now.

Have you thought about putting it on Ebay? That way you will see what people are willing to pay.

The auction route may give you a gauge to what auction buyers will pay for your car, but if the car is a clean as it is suppose to be, then you shouldn't have a problem finding a local to purchase it. Depends totally on how bad you want to move the product! Is the price right? Thats for you to decide! You only need one buyer! Keep us up to date.
Goodluck with the sale.
