OK, all you popcorn munchers, here they are.
The seller's name is Brian. Nice guy - gearhead, Mopar fan, he also has a 68 Charger and 69 Coronet (I think that's right), both stored in a hanger a few miles away. He bought this truck to use for yard work, just a work truck. It's in amazingly good shape for something unrestored and 40 years old. Save a small section of the drivers side step well and the RF fender, there is no apparent cancer, just surface rust and a couple of places with body filler and primer.
Here's what I saw when we arrived. You can see that he had a small trailer attached, so I didn't drive it. I figured it really didn't matter, since you want to do a total restoration. There's a video link below of the engine start-up.
OK, starting at the front and moving to the right front corner and working around the exterior, ending at the LF corner, here ya go:
The right front fenderwell, looking behind the tire. That broken rod supports the bottom of the fender, so the fender flaps in the breeze.
The RR wheelwell, looking front, then back. Note that there's no rot. Also note the saddle tanks.
The engine:
Here's the start-up video. Like I say in the vid, we're not driving this cross-country without a decent muffler.
Note that he says the engine hadn't been started in a month, though I doubt that. Still, it started without a significant amount of smoke.
The interior and driver's side stepwell. That little bit of cancer and the stuff at the bottom of the right-side fender were all I could find in the way of rot.
