I agree with hemi71 - get it on a good solid foundation and some good jackstands.  I made the error of having mine on jackstands, but on wood.  In San Diego, that's mostly safe, because it doesn't rain much.  However, I let the car sit that way too long, we got a good storm and I came out one day to find the car on the ground.  I had the front suspension apart and had the tires under it, so it didn't fall all the way, but the left front fender and front valance were damaged.  :swear:  Fortunately, the damage isn't very bad - just folded under a little.

Im sorry to hear about that but I am not worried about it falling off because we dont get too much wind with it in the back like it is and its just a shell right now anyway.

Both doors are B5, which is the color of the car, and the VIN sticker says this...

Today I removed the front suspension, K-frame, and torsion bars..... that was one heck of a chore. I did notice that the front frame rails on my challenger have been pushed in where the K member mounts and there are several cracks in the metal :bricks1:

Barry informed me that the car is not stolen and the vin on the dash matches the title.

I also mentioned that you had a problem, you need to apply for a state assigned VIN number.

Your car has been VIN swapped and titled under the "new" number, so it has been involved in a crime.

You should get the car's legal issues straightened out BEFORE spending any money on it.  :2cents:

Barry, is there any reason why he couldnt have it titled in the body numbers (the actual 71?) Its so weird that someone did what they did to this car....

Then the only thing that wouldnt match would be the dash vin, but maybe that could be sorted.  :dunno:

I don't have a fender tag so the only thing I know is that it was made January 1971.
