Barry, is there any reason why he couldnt have it titled in the body numbers (the actual 71?) Its so weird that someone did what they did to this car....

Then the only thing that wouldnt match would be the dash vin, but maybe that could be sorted.  :dunno:

If he applies for a state issued VIN, it will have (at least the ones I have seen so far) a state prefix and then the whole VIN of the body. So, yes, it would be titled as a '71.

Here are the front end pictures after the front K-frame and suspension was removed, the cowl is next to be removed.

You really NEED to get the cars paperwork straight before doing anything with the cowl. Once the cowl is removed (with the partial VIN on it) it will just look that much more suspicious to whoever has to inspect the car to get the state issued VIN.  :2cents:

 :iagree: 100%, I tried going this past week but I just didn't have a chance, I am trying to go sometime this week, and I am going to court on the 5th.

Still haven't had a chance to go to the DMV, its been crazy around here. Just been collecting parts, I think the UPS man is coming here weekly.

Yeah its the code for the 71 only wide fender and hood chrome.
