Don't do this to your 71 Cuda

Wow do you think he's using air shocks?   A little too extreme for my tastes.

It might have a mean stance and be reasonable in a straight line, but it won't handle that well, first corner it will want to tip over.   :grinno:

Yeh baby. Jack it to to moon. :ylsuper: Pretty common back in the old days though.

Raising the rear end like that also produces more negative caster which in turn makes the car even more unstable at high speeds..

The owner must be a Chevy guy, because the only people I know who like to put rear wheels on like that are first gen Camaro owners.  :roflsmiley:

Back in the day, you got a Monte Carlo with a 305,  added air shocks, cherry bombs and laid a pair of 6X9s on the back shelf.  Instant wet road racer.

Back in the day a friend of mine swapped a 302 into a Chevy Vega wagon and then tore up the diff. He pulled a 12 bolt posi out of a 65 Impala SS he had and had mounts welded on to fit the Vega, then put it in the car. Didn't bother to narrow it, and most of the tires were OUTSIDE the wheelwells! After driving it around for a couple of days a Kansas Highway Patrol officer pulled him over and told him to get that P.O.S. off the road and told him he would tow it if he saw it out like that again! :smilielol:  :roflsmiley:

I do know back in the mid 70's, you could not just up and order the right back space. No Jegs, no summit. You went to firestone and bought the mags on the wall, the the leaf spring extentions, then the air shocks........

My car still had the dry rotted N-50s on it when I got it

Nowadays the backspace would be easily fixed

I like it though. But it's too wide to fit in my garage  :grinno:

Looks mean anyways.  Isn't that the only reason anyone does that.  Just to intimedate while cruising, not racing.
