What kind of Power Steering Pump
« on: August 11, 2008 - 10:57:15 PM »
 :clueless:

When I bought my 73 Challanenger the guy I bought it from took off the power steering pump for his other car (Valiant)...anyway, long story short, I want to put a pump back on and get the power steering pump back on. Problem is there are two different kinds and I have no idea which one to buy (I have no way of getting a hold of the old owner - he's about 100 miles from me and I lost his contact info)

So anyway to tell what pump my car came with? Saginaw (egg shape) or Federal (round)

Engine is a 318, manual brakes (disc front/drum back). Help!  :horse:

As I recall they were both ways, but don't remember if they were option specific or not, (v8 vs /6, power vs man brakes) I may have both at the shop and from small block V8 cars if that helps?

Hey Chris - I never said thanks - the brackets showed up last week - now I just need to get/find a single pully power streering pump setup.

I found a few online, seems like they are pretty generic for small block dodge with no A/C
