That is kinda what I was thinking I would have to do with the new Challenger..

225/65/17 = 28.5"x9"  &  255/70/17 = 31.1"x10.25"

I had a hood scoop like that on my bright white 70 challenger back in the 70's.  See attached pics.  I think they used called a mid-rise (or height) pro-stock hood scoop.  O'ya it had cragers on it with the widest tire (m or n 50 15s?).  I wish I had pics of it back in it's day.  Oh, well.  Ya know what would be cool, if somebody that was good with photoshop could re-create the cars of our youth.  I guy at carlise was doing that with a special computer program, but it would only replicate the stock options not the custom option (aka cragers, hood scoops, etc).  Sorry for the crappy pics, usually I'm not that bad with a camera.

The hood on my car is original but when they painted the car they modified it. The twin cuda scoops were raised about 4-6" and there is an opening on the backside. I plan on fabricating a nice bracket that will mount on the one underside brace and come out the back of the opening so I can mount a few sun gauges I have on it.

That was an earlier picture when I first got it home. I polished all the stainless, etc.. It's all back on now. Not on the road as of yet......one of these days it'll hit the streets again  :banghead:
