no inspection cover on the flywheel...starter doesnt crank the engine but the solenoid click is heard...
i event couldnt listen to the motor  :crying:

PS
dutch - will problably take your knob but first I have to check the circuits. also rear shelf has no speakers at all  :clueless:

will post a bunch of photos later on.

Welcome to the site.  As far as finding the original owner, Topcat on this site lives in Fremont and could maybe lend a hand.  You could possibly use zabasearch.com to find the guy's new address.  Your Challenger looks awesome, but get ready to make friends with one of these:

Interior color is FM3.

Car interior is black.

Welcome to the site Willard. My fathers family came from Warsaw in the early 1900's.
Our last name was "Americanized" when they came here. The original spelling was Szczoczarz.
Any idea how to pronounce that?

I'm 3rd owner. First in CA 1970-2006, second TX 2006-2008.

I want to contact the first owner, have his address from 1979 DMV receipt, can you advise me how to do that? I already sent a letter to him but don't know if he lives in the same place... he's from Fremont, CA.

Send me the address and I'll try to see what I can do. However, DMV doesn't give personal information anymore ever since that soap opera star was murdered many years ago. The murderer got her contact info from the DMV at that time. I can go there and try though.
Mike, Fremont, CA.

Hi Topcat,
The first owner (1970-2006) is Gregory M Otto, 3194 Baylis st., Fremont, Ca. But I doubt he lives still there (a send him a letter, waiting for response). I browsed zabasearch and the only close match (man born 1961) is for Gregory M Otto from Cedar Park (3001 Kenai dr.), 78613 Tx.
If you could check that Baylis st. address that would be great.
Thanks!

put the co-pilot from the earlier post in the thread and I bet everything would work like a charm on the inside at least! :bananasmi :bananasmi
This thought may not be politically correct, but is an opinion offered. It may be correct? or it may be wrong? It is not designed to appease those needing shelter from the real world.

I'll check it out this week end. Knock on the door and ask. Perhaps I can back track from their realtor they bought from where Gregory went.

The battery is brand new 70Ah, 12V I bought 2 days ago. The ignition, relay are OK. When a pass the + onto the starter the solenoid clicks and the bendix is put forward but engages with freewhelel teeth only halfway. The bendix then is stuck and starter motor not run due to internal switch not engaged.
I cant figure why a brand new starter is acting this way, especially when it was performing well before shipment.
I'll get the car back from the customs office by tuesday and get it lifted to have easy access. Will dismount and check the starter then.
I just can wait to hear the engine and see her running...
