Full moon last night
« on: August 17, 2008 - 05:27:40 PM »

Wen't nuts. I really beat up a guy who probably didn't deserve it. I said to myself, i will never hurt anyone physically or verbally ever again. I will stop all nastywisecracks that seem to get out of hand. I started thinking of what some of you said about my lack of class. I had a feeling that i never want to be mean to anyone ever again. Also, a little smile goes a long way, something i also lack.

I stopped visiting here because don't have time to spend an hour a day, but i just realized that slotts was not one of those 3 in the picture that called me a floating turd, scum, etc. He was innocent and i apologize. Thats why i went after 71340 about the radiator support  for the turd comment. I just felt bad  blaming someone who never even commented. I hope this gets him to loose 20 lbs. and keeps him healthy years from now.

My old professor friend wants me to come up to Boston this fall.  He said i will get  rid of my neg. thoughts and get me back to my old happy self he remembers me by.  And never my the english hacking, it's justanxiety i get from typing to fast.

Good luck to you all and think positive. I will try to remember in a few months to check out the resto projects progress of husker cuda, farmerboy, shellbydogg, plus a few others.

:2thumbs:   If he didnt seserve it, then you should tell him personally. The first step in healing is recognition of a problem and admitting it. Sounds like you are trying to put one foot in front of the other.  Wish you luck

I wish you luck as well. HAd a lot of anger issues when I was younger; that's one reason why my car is in the shape it's in now. Finally learned to just walk away. Much, much easier.

there is nothing better than saying whats on your mind if you mind what your saying! Past experience on one of my posts tells me this. People are defensive! Its human nature! If the
member in my post had actually put some effort into proof reading his reply, things might have been different, he might have gotten my respect. There is no reason to get personal in this type of forum. we may not like what you have to say, but keep on the subject,be constructive and say it with class. We are all different people, different sizes, different looks but we are people!

I do think that was a little uncalled for but as long as it doesn't happen again, I'm willing to over look it.  Lets keep the forum fun because . . . that's why we all come here.  Well that and for all the info and pics that's here!

Just so you guys know it's not a one-time deal for this schmuck.  He made a similar FAT PIG comment about my wife about 4 months ago, and he's never met me or my wife.  He's rude, arrogant, and needs to go.

Uncalled for IMO but nice to see some kind of an apology albeit blunt with some extra "tallness" added in. The mods and Admin IMO should have deleted that crap/post straight away. "If it happens again"?? Ah, sorry, but it's a personal assault, if it were my control, that stuff gets no second chance. PERIOD. Personal attacks should be removed and the users in question PMed and/or emailed with a warning. This place doesn't need that stuff here. Now the user who was verbally assaulted has that post/crap (and others it was quoted in) stuck in the sites memory until it's removed. The least the mods could have done IMO is remove it especially after 1 of the mods was actually PMed by the user whom the name calling was directed at, not even a reply, real poor. This isn't calling someone an idiot or a dropkick......read the post again. It takes all but 30 seconds to find the thread, remove the posts and any existence that the name calling even existed in the first place.........this site is honestly getting real sloppy and has been for several months.

First off, I changed this exact quote to red where my handle of "slotts” was mentioned. I honestly had never sent any negative remarks to any of your posts or ever knew who you were, let alone sending some off color PM after reading the initial post in question.

The only time that I feel appropriate to call something a “turd” would be a dark brown painted Chevy, any model, any year.!!!

I sincerely never read this thread until a very close member sent me a PM referencing this and suggested that I read it. Thank you buddy and friend, you have my back and I appreciate it,  along with all of the other member’s positve comments and support! :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Thank you JS29U for starting this thread. However, it would have been nice of you to send me a short PM stating what was written above, as suggested by another of my buddy's here at CC recommended. To be honest with you, Sir, I am quite surprised that your membership was not revoked right after stating your comment to me. I really expected that at the least, you were given a stern warning. Maybe that happened, I don’t know. :dunno: :clueless:

I recently had a misunderstanding by a member here that thought I was a dealer offering a restored part to him. With him not buying what I had offered, thought my “wishing him well, finding the part” reply came from a disgruntled sarcastic dealer because he didn’t buy it from me and wrote something back that he later recanted. I only wished him well finding the part somewhere else. One sharp member ( :2thumbs: ) here caught that for what it was, a misunderstanding and not a vindictive seller. Sometimes written words completely miss their inflections meant and it is easy for someone to take something stated the wrong way.

I will have my son, Eric, read this thread to show him an experience in life learning.

Ok, life goes on…

Apology accepted, JS29U, and I truly wish you well.
Let’s just try and stay focused on enjoying and loving our Mopars. :2thumbs:

Personal attacks and name calling are not acceptable.

As a moderator on other sites, this guy would be gone forever if he did this on either of them & it was brought to my attention.  :2cents:

This site also needs an "ignore user" button. As this site grows, more people that we really do not want to hear from will join up, it is just a simple truth. Setting them to "ignore" is a wonderful option that other forums have, just a suggestion.
